Toronto Maple Leafs Free Agent Target Jack Roslovic Declines Contract Offer
Jack Roslovic is still a free agent, and with the Toronto Maple Leafs showcasing a bit of interest, it seems like other NHL teams have thrown their hat into the ring.
Over the last few months, the Toronto Maple Leafs have been contemplating signing forward Jack Roslovic.
With the Carolina Hurricanes last season, Roslovic had 22 goals, yet somehow, he has remained without an NHL contract.
The Maple Leafs have started training camp, and Roslovic still doesn't have an NHL job. Whether or not anyone signs him still remains to be seen.
Jack Roslovic received an offer from the Edmonton Oilers
Interestingly enough, the forward could have had a job with a Stanley Cup contender, but he ended up turning it down.
According to Pierre LeBrun, the Edmonton Oilers had a contract offer on the table for the center, but he ultimately chose to decline. As it stands, no one knows why.
I do believe there was an offer from the Edmonton Oilers at some point, but Roslovic...turned it down
Perhaps Roslovic believes that the Maple Leafs are the best opportunity for him. After all, he used to be a Team USA teammate with Captain Auston Matthews.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the Maple Leafs actually wanted to make Roslovic one of their first-liners, pairing him with Matthews.
For now, it is unclear whether or not this kind of job offer is still on the table. Given everything we know right now, we doubt it.
Regardless, the Roslovic situation is one that we will continue to follow over the coming days, weeks, and perhaps even months.
