Toronto Maple Leafs Get Creative With Tonight's Lineup Against the Montreal Canadiens
Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs are playing the Montreal Canadiens in their fourth preseason game, and the lineup is one that could turn a few heads.
With the NHL preseason marching forward, the Toronto Maple Leafs are being given multiple chances to get their roster in order.
Each game allows the team to try out new forward combinations, while also figuring out which young stars should be cut, and which ones should be given more chances.
Tonight, the Leafs take on the Montreal Canadiens for the second time in a row, and as it turns out, this game will feature a mix of regulars and wannabe stars.
Toronto Maple Leafs announce their lineup
For the first time in the preseason, Easton Cowan will not be playing. Instead, the top line will consist of Calle Jarnkrok, John Tavares, and William Nylander.
Matthew Knies will play with Max Domi and Nick Robertson. From there, we get to see Dajota Joshua, Nicolas Roy, and Matias Maccelli for the first time.
Michael Pezzetta and Jacob Quillan will be on the third line, with Anthony Stolarz getting his first start of the preseason.
