With the Toronto Maple Leafs looking to take on the Carolina Hurricanes tonight, head coach Craig Berube has been forced into a very difficult decision.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have won two games in a row, and they are looking to make it three against the Carolina Hurricanes, who are the class of the Metropolitan Division.
If the Leafs can get the win tonight, they will find themselves two points closer to slotting into a playoff spot. The Leafs have spent a couple of weeks near the bottom of the Atlantic Division, so this current predicament is almost a miracle.
The Maple Leafs have been sensational in their last two games, outscoring their opponents 12-3. With that in mind, many have wondered what the lineup will look like tonight.
Toronto Maple Leafs lineup projects confidence
Based on what we saw at practice on Wednesday, it would appear as though Craig Berube has opted to keep things exactly the same. He wants to roll the hot hands.
The first line will consist of Auston Matthews, Matthew Knies, and Max Domi, while the second line is a combination of Easton Cowan, John Tavares, and William Nylander.
The third line continues to be a mix of Dakota Joshua, Nicolas Roy, and Bobby McMann. They have been sensational these last couple of games, and deserve the praise.
Meanwhile, the final line will consist of Nick Robertson, Steven Lorentz, and Scott Laughton, who got his first goal of the season on Tuesday night.
Knies - Matthews - Domi
Cowan - Tavares - Nylander
Joshua - Roy - McMann
Lorentz - Laughton - Robertson

This should be an interesting game tonight, and we look forward to seeing how the Leafs approach a hungry Carolina Hurricanes roster.
If the Maple Leafs can pull off this win, then the rest of the Eastern Conference will have to start taking them seriously.
