The Toronto Maple Leafs are playing the Carolina Hurricanes tonight, and the team has to make a choice between Dennis Hildeby and Joseph Woll.

Joseph Woll and Dennis Hildeby have been keeping the Toronto Maple Leafs in it this season. Without their goaltending, the Leafs would be down in last place, without a hope of making the playoffs.
Throughout the Leafs' two-game winning streak, Hildeby and Woll have combined for some epic performances. With Anthony Stolarz injured, this is exactly what the Leafs have been yearning for.
Having said that, there has been some trepidation regarding Woll and his workload. While Hildeby has played well, the Leafs do not trust him enough to split the time equally.
As a result, Woll is being pushed to his absolute limits. The Leafs play a game every other day, and it puts a lot of strain on a netminder who is injury-prone.

Joseph Woll or Dennis Hildeby tonight?

With all of this in mind, Leafs head coach Craig Berube has a difficult decision to make against the Carolina Hurricanes. After Woll's performance against the Florida Panthers, they could either run it back with him tonight and risk an injury or roll the dice and choose Hildeby, who could crack.
In the end, the Leafs are projected to go with Woll, with the Montreal Canadiens coming up on Saturday, in Toronto.

Joseph Woll has a goals-against average of 2.53 and a save percentage of .924. He has been as solid as ever, and the Leafs are happy to have him back.
Tonight's game against the Hurricanes just so happens to be the last of the team's six-game road trip, and we're sure they're eager to get back to Canada.
If the Leafs can knock off the Hurricanes tonight, then they certainly have a case when it comes to becoming a playoff team after an incredibly slow start.
