The Toronto Maple Leafs are in the midst of a five-game losing streak, and they need a win if they want to ensure that they don't fall further in the Eastern Conference.
Things have not been looking good for the Leafs this season, and there is no denying that the fans are starting to get just a bit antsy.
With that in mind, the Leafs play the St. Louis Blues tonight, and that should prove to be a huge opportunity to get back in the win column.
The Blues are not particularly good this season, and if the Maple Leafs are able to have a big game, it could give them the confidence they need.
Joseph Woll gets the start against the St. Louis Blues
Going into tonight's game, it has been said that Anthony Stolarz would remain out of the lineup. As a result, there are two choices: Joseph Woll and Dennis Hildeby.
After a 29-save debut on Saturday, Woll has been tapped to start for a second straight game, and it is an appropriate choice as he is from St. Louis.
The Toronto Maple Leafs would love to beat the Blues, especially with this being head coach Craig Berube's former team.
Dakota Joshua and Sammy Blais also used to play for the Maple Leafs, which feeds into a lot of the narratives taking place right now.
Only time will tell whether or not the Toronto Maple Leafs will be able to get over the hump here and end this disgusting losing streak, once and for all.
If they can't, then surely the fanbase will be taking to the streets in protest.
