Ben Danford and Easton Cowan are two of the brightest prospects for the Toronto Maple Leafs right now, and they will get to battle it out at Rookie Camp.
Overall, Cowan is expected to compete for a roster spot, while Danford is likely to return to the OHL for at least one extra year of development.
As we reported yesterday, Cowan is feeling confident about making the Leafs, especially since he has transformed his physique for the difficulties of the NHL.

Well, Danford spoke to reporters about the Maple Leafs prospect and confirmed that he has, indeed, bulked up, and is looking pretty stocky these days.
He's like a pitbull. Pretty stocky guy, and when he has the puck, he is low to the ice and hard to knock off. I'm really looking forward to seeing how training camp goes for him.
This should be music to the ears of Maple Leafs fans everywhere. It all but confirms the notion that the Leafs have a solid prospect on their hands.
There are some who want Cowan to play on the top line with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies, while some don't even see him playing in the NHL this season.
Whatever the case may be, all eyes will be on the former London Knights forward as the lights continue to get brighter.
