Milan Lucic shares its his 'dream' to play for a team during recent interview
Only the Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights remain in the battle for the holy grail of hockey the Stanley Cup, . The rest of the league is getting together with their management to come up with a game plan to deal with the upcoming draft and free agency.
This years' UFA class has some highly skilled but aging talent in Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Vladimir Tarasenko and Ryan O'Reilly as well as depth options in Jordan Staal, Jason Zucker and Milan Lucic.
The year 34 year old Lucic just finished his 16th season in the NHL. While the points have slowed up over the years, Lucic can still provide plenty of physicality and veteran leadership as a depth option on a roster. In 77 games this season he scored 7 goals and 19 points while averaging 11:18 in ice time.
Lucic was asked on his interest of signing with his hometown Vancouver Canucks if the opportunity came:
"It is every hometown boys dream to play for the hometown team. We will see what happens if they call."
Lucic is from Vancouver and played his WHL career with his hometown Vancouver Giants. It would be a full circle moment if Lucic becomes a Canuck this summer.
