During the 2022-2023 National Hockey League season the Vegas Golden Knights needed to replace goaltenders as they had several of them injured or on LTIR and now going into the offseason with Adin Hill pencilled in as their number one goaltender With that being the case, it is being reported that at least two teams have done their homework in relation to Logan Thomason's status for the upcoming season.
Thompson, who skated in thirty-seven games last season before suffering a season-ending injury in early February finished the season with a 21-13-3 record and may battle Hill for the top spot in training camp if he is deemed healthy enough to do so, but the possibility remains that he will be on someone else's roster on opening night this season.
Thompson is drawing interest from both the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils, Buffalo would make more sense given that the most likely don't want to rush their young goaltending prospect Devan Levi
General Manager Kelly McCrimmon will have some work to do as the team is currently $4 million over the cap and less than a handful of contracts to fill out his roster, but it's looking like Thompson could be the odd man out in Vegas
