Ticket Prices for tomorrow night's game between the Islanders and Capitals have exploded as fans anticipate Ovechkin breaking Gretzky's record.

New York Islanders fans might be disappointed if they're trying to go to tomorrow night's game.
This is because the Washington Capitals are coming to town and Alex Ovechkin is tied with Wayne Gretzky with 894 career goals.
As a result, many are anticipating that he will break the record in New York tomorrow night, and thus ticket prices are getting jacked up way higher than they normally would be.
As of 6:30PM EST today, April 5th, the cheapest available ticket just to get in the door is over 200 dollars with some tickets going for as much as five figures.
Ovechkin did have a chance to break the record last night when the Blackhawks pulled their goalie for the extra attacker, but he reportedly told head coach Spencer Carbery not to put him on the ice.
He did get a few chances in the last minute as the Capitals pressured after Ryan Leonard secure his first career goal with the empty netter.
Ovechkin is currently riding a four-game goal streak with five goals and eight points in that span.
Should he score tomorrow it would extend the streak to five games while also setting a new NHL record with 895 career goals.
As such, the game will be a must-watch for fans across the NHL. Be sure to tune in to see if he can break the record, or if Ilya Sorokin will deny his countryman, delaying the celebration one more time.
If Ovechkin doesn't secure the record-breaking goal tomorrow there will certainly be a lot of disappointed fans who will be out hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
