The ECHL is a league best known for the players willingness to drop the gloves at any time. Especially if you're trying to make a name for yourself in game of hockey at the pro level.
Last night, the Atlanta Gladiators took on the Savanha Ghost Pirates in what would turn out to be a blowout win for the Gladiators, but it wasn't without its fair share of fireworks as veteran Anthony Collins and rookie Connor Casparie squared off at centre ice; take a look.
Collins, the veteran who has been around for quite some time now took this one, but give credit where it's due, Casparie who just made the Gladiators opening night roster this year coming out of junior A, took the fight and has made quite the name for himself during his short time in the league.
Both men were given 5 minute majors for fighting as well as 10 minute misconducts for fighting prior to the drop of the puck.
Fighting is alive and well in the game of hockey these days, sometimes you just have to know where to look for it. The players are always as tough as nails.
