The term «Fight of the Year» is subjective and in the eye of the beholder, but as you can see in the video provided below, there is a very good case that it features the fight of the year, at least at the NCAA level.

Recently, cameras in Alaska of all places caught what can only be described as a spirited tilt between the visiting Arizona State University Sun Devils and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks and although the reasoning behind the fight is unknown, the two combatants punch and wrestle the living lights out of each other for a good ten seconds before the fall and try to be separated initially by a referee and eventually by a linesman.

Whether you believe fighting belongs in hockey at this point is irrelevant because these two individuals in theory need to be in peak physical condition to even attempt something of this magnitude, as well; They need to be a little bit crazy.

It can be suggested that these two teams have some unfinished business to attend to and they'll get that opportunity real soon as they'll face off again Saturday back in the barn in Fairbanks; puck drop–11:07 PM EST.
