Chicago Blackhawks Deliver Devastating Update on Former First Round Pick: He is Done for the Season

The Blackhawks season is effectively over as the team has already been eliminated from playoff contention.

Dickinson was injured on Saturday during the Blackhawks' game versus the St. Louis Blues.

The veteran stepped up to fight Blues forward Jake Neighbours after the youngster made a questionable hit on Alec Martinez.

It would seem as though he injured his wrist in the fight.

Dickinson is a Swiss army knife kind of player, playing up and down the lineup for the Hawks over the past three seasons.

He brings grit, toughness, and defensive reliability and is not afraid to step up when his team needs him.

However, he can cross the line at times, as we saw in the Blackhawks recent game against the Vancouver Canucks.

Dickinson has 7 goals and 16 points through 59 games this season. He is up to 68 career goals and 155 points in 502 games.

The 29-year-old is signed for one more season with Chicago, carrying a 4.25 million dollar cap hit.
