It's no surprise that the game between the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers Is getting rather heated and who else would be in the middle of it other than known headshot artist, Jacob Trouba, This time with a vicious elbow on Florida Panthers forward Evan Rodrigues; take a look
How this is only a two minute minor blows my mind, Trouba clearly leads with the elbow catches Rodrigues right in the side of the head\ face. He goes down and a two minute penalty is called on the play for elbowing. The standard officiating is atrocious.
I would say the Department of Player Safety should look at this play tomorrow or later tonight, but we all know when it comes to Trouba. He gets off with a slap on the wrist more often than not, so I would be surprised if the league actually takes a look at what is a clear headshot and Intent to injure.
Update: Evan Rodrigues is back on the ice.
