Alex Ovechkin is surely going to go down as the greatest players, certainly the greatest Russian player of all time when all is said and done, but for now, all he's doing is rewriting the record book.
Last night, Ovi set a record against the Ottawa Senators, one that is not often thought about, previously held by Ray Bourque, take a look
Ovechkin now holds the NHL record for most shots ever recorded with a staggering 6,210 over the course of his NHL career, Bourque had 6,209.
I know some people are going to argue that his accuracy isn't really where they expected it to be, considering he *only* has 800 goals. I on the other hand think that we should enjoy the greatness we are witnessing and should be soaking it in at every turn.
