Last night, the Boston Bruins dishes out a 7-1 beat down against the Anaheim Ducks. Boston is cruising in first place in the league with an absurd record of 32-4-4, while Anaheim is a basement team once again this year, with a pitiful 12 wins.
Prior to this mismatch of a game, Ducks Head Coach Dallas Eakins had a hilarious quote foreshadowing the upcoming blowout when asked about how to stop the Boston Bruins top line.
Eakins jokes about a Tonya Harding situation - where the Ducks would injure the Bruins in the warmups to have a chance at winning. It was a good way to make light of the upcoming inevitable blowout.
As it turned out, the Bruins too line torched the Ducks. David Pastrnak recorded a hat trick and an assist, with Marchand and Bergeron picking up a goal and assist respectively.
The game went as Dallas Eakins, and everyone else could have predicted: Boston continued their tear of a regular season, and the Ducks keep the tank rolling to get Bedard in the upcoming draft.
