Antii Raanta appears to blow out his knee trying to make a save
The Hurricanes have battled injuries to their goaltenders since Frederik Andersen went down late in the season. Antii Raanta appeared to suffer an injury against the Boston Bruins, but he was able to fight through the pain.
Tonight though it feels like Raanta's luck ran out. During the 2nd period Raanta lunges across the crease to make a save and he immediately falls to the ice in pain.
There was some immediate speculation about the serious nature of the injury.
Raanta was unable to put weight on his leg and had to be assisted to the locker room. The Canes' backup Pyotr Kochetkov entered the game and was immediately beaten, giving the Rangers a 3-0 league.
