Time changes things, that appears to be the case between the Arizona Coyotes and their top prospect Logan Cooley. When the Coyotes proposed stadium in Tempe was shot down by voters, Cooley decided it was in his best interest to return to the University of Minnesota for the 2023 season.

The 3rd overall pick from the 2022 NHL Draft is still pondering things. Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports reportes that Cooley is leaning toward signing his entry-level deal with the Coyotes but hasn't fully made the decision.

«For right now, I'm on track for going back and helping Minnesota win a national championship and continuing to grow my game,» Cooley said. «But I'm still going to evaluate some things. I don't want the media to go crazy thinking that I'm not going back to school, but there's a little bit of thought to put into it.»

The 19 year old scored 22 goals and 60 points in 39 games for the University of Minnesota last season. Cooley, along with Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies and St. Louis Blues prospect Jimmy Snuggerud, arguably formed the best line in college hockey.
