With the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs right around the corner the Nashville Predators received the worst news possible. It has finally been released that starting goaltender, Juuse Saros will miss the next 4-6 weeks. This news definitely puts a damper on tht Predators Stanley Cup aspirations.
This news comes from Alex Daugherty of A to Z Sports:
Nashville Predators goaltender Juuse Saros will be out of his team's lineup for 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain. A league source with contact close to the Nashville Predators has told A to Z Sports that Juuse Saros suffered a high ankle sprain in theteam's loss to the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.
The source added that the typical timetable for this injury is four to six weeks.
Earlier today Predators Head Coach John Hynes told reporters that he was, "hopeful",Saros would be back in the lineup in time for his team's first round playoff series. Juuse Saros was having a great year, the 27-year-old went 38-25-3 this season with a 2.62 goals against average and a .918 save percentage.
If the Nashville Predators have any chance of beating the heavily favoured Calgary Flames or Colorado Avalanche in the first round it rest solely on the Predators receiving high level goaltending from Connor Ingram or David Rittich.
