Bruce Cassidy reveals the awful place where Don Sweeney fired him
When Bruce Cassidy spoke to Don Sweeney at this end of season meeting, he was told his job with the organization was safe. Cassidy was then told to enjoy some much needed vacation. Cassidy returned home and took time to try and recharge his battery.
So much to Cassidy's surprise, Don Sweeney wanted to come to his coach's home and have a conversation. While that's not uncommon the timing really didn't make sense. So when Sweeney came to his head coach's home there was definitely more than met the eye.
Being fired is never an enjoyable experience. But having your boss come to your home and fire you after telling you your job was safe, likely ranks pretty low on the enjoyability scale. It will be interesting to see what happens next in Boston, but you have to imagine Don Sweeney is treading on thin ice.
