Cale Makar has been putting on an absolute clinic these playoffs, showing the league why he is the best defensemen in the NHL right now. There aren't many players in the league that can create a rush from his own end and turn it into a scoring chance. Friday night Makar was just as impressive as he has been all playoffs by registering a goal and an assist. But it probably could've been more.
During one of Makar's rushes, he managed to split the defence and get a clear path to the net. But Makar lost the puck on what looked like a possible hooking penalty. There was no call and Cale Makar let the official know how he felt about the missed call.
It's been no surprise that the officiating has been suspect during these playoffs. The NHL is having an officiating crisis right now and Makar just decided to let them know how he felt about it.
