Captains Clash - Jacob Trouba and Brady Tkachuk drop the gloves for a wild scrap
It's not everyday that you get the pleasure of watching two captains dropping their gloves at center ice and going at it. That's exactly what happened tonight as the New York Rangers faced off against the Ottawa Senators. During the second period Brady Tkachuk chased down and challenged Jacob Trouba.
Tkachuk was unhappy about a tripping penalty Trouba took earlier in the period against Drake Batherson. After Tkachuk issued the challenge, Trouba was happy to oblige. The two then squared off at center ice for a wild tilt.
Both men received 5-minute majors for fighting, but it definitely set the tone for the two teams. At the end of the 2nd period the teams are tied at 1 heading to the 3rd.
