With the Montreal Canadiens having only 11 games left this season, there are some questions remaining. Questions like, will we see Carey Price play a game this season?
After having successful surgery to repair his knee back in July and then having checked himself into a substance abuse program in October. Price has had multiple setbacks since November, including the COVID shutdown.
Price has been with the Canadiens since being drafted 5th overall in 2005. This would have been Price's 15th season in Montreal. He is in the midst of an eight-year, $84 million contract he received from former Montreal Canadiens General Manager, Marc Bergevin who was fired mid season and replaced by Kent Hughes.
Price, 34, is a former Hart Trophy winner as the NHL's Most Valuable Player during the 2014-15 season, as well as a two-time Vezina Trophy winner as the NHL's top goaltender and the winningest goaltender in Montreal Canadiens history with a 360-247-79 record with a lifetime goals against of 2.50 and .917 save percentage.
