Earlier this week it was announced by Canadiens' General Manager, Kent Hughes that there didn't appear to be a route for Carey Price to play again next season. This led to the immediate speculation that Price's career was over and at 35-years-old it very well could be. The news came after Price didn't respond well to off-season PRP treatments.
Price missed all but 5 games last season, going 1-4-0 over that stretch. But now it seems like one of the best goalies of the last decade may have to call it a career. Today Carey's wife Angela took to Instagram to share the following message.
It's clear by Angela's comment that Carey is having a difficult time with what's going on. It's always difficult coming to terms with the game passes you by, especially when it happens on someone else's terms. Hopefully when Carey is ready he will have the opportunity to see how universally loved he was by fans.
