Chicago Blackhawks prospect suspended for vicious high stick
The Chicago Blackhawks drafted Wyatt Kaiser in the 3rd round of the 2020 NHL Draft. Kaiser was selected 81st overall and has spent the last two years at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. On Friday night the usually controlled Kaiser lost his temper and delivered a violent high stick.
The incident occured in the 3rd period of the Friday night game. As Kaiser becomes engaged with another player he spins around and delivers a stiff shot to the players head. Luckily for him all players are required to wear full face shields.
The two separate angles provide different looks, but the angle from the crowd shows just how violent this shot was. Kaiser received a one game suspension, but likely should have received a longer punishment for this action.
