On Saturday afternoon, the Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights decided to place players on the waiver wire.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Avalanche goaltender Ivan Prosvetov and Golden Knights defenceman Brayden Pachal have been placed on waivers for the purpose of being assigned to the AHL.

"Prosvetov (COL) on waivers"

"Pachal (LV) on waivers"

Prosvetov, 24, has appeared in 11 games this season for the Colorado Avalanche where he has a record of 4-3-1 with a 3.16 goals against average and an .895 save percentage.

Pachal, a native of Estevan, Saskatchewan has skated in 17 games for the Golden Knights where he has one goal, 12 penalty minutes and is a minus-two.

If Prosvetov and/or Pachal clear waivers on Sunday, they'll be assigned to their respective American Hockey League affiliate - the Colorado Eagles and Henderson Silver Knights.
