The Colorado Avalanche are coming off winning the Stanley Cup, but that doesn't mean they're not bracing for a future without their starting goaltender Darcy Kuemper.
In fact, according to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, if the Avs are unable to re-sign Kuemper and he walks when free agency opens on July 13th it's quite likely they make a significant play for Marc-Andre Fleury.
Fleury, 37, has stated he would like to play at least one more season in the NHL and has proven he can still preform at a starting level even at his advanced age for a goalie.
One has to wonder if playing behind the right team after spending most of the year in Chicago last year would mark the return of Fleury to form. Either way, something to watch ahead of free agency
