Colorado Avalanche star injured and may miss the beginning of the season
The Defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche will open at home next Wednesday night as they take on the Chicago Blackhawks. Let's hope everyone is health and ready to play as the Avalanche Stanley Cup banner is raised to the rafters.
The Av's are already without Gabriel Landeskog for their home opener and JT Compher is listed as day-to-day as well. Now it looks like Nathan McKinnon may not be available for opening night either. It appears that McKinnon has a minor injury and is currently listed as day-to-day.
You have to hope the super star winger is ready to go by opening night. He is the heart and soul of the team and his ability on the ice is elite. You'd hate to see him miss their opening night. No doubt McKinnon will want to be in the lineup to help his team take on the Blackhawks. Perhaps some rest for the next couple of days will give McKinnon the time to he needs to recuperate and get back out on the ice with his team.
