The Philadelphia Flyers are continuing to tinker with their off ice personnel after a very disappointing season last year. One thing new general manager Daniel Briere is not afraid of is making changes and it's been a busy offseason for the rookie GM, some good, some bad. These changes are intriguing though, especially the addition one of the best goal scores of his era.

According to Dylan Robillard, writer for Brotherly Puck and a credentialed team journalist, the Flyers are bringing in former NHLer Dany Heatley as a Pro Scout and Bob Murray as a Senior Advisor; take a look.

Per sources and @MaherMediaCo, among other changes, the Flyers have hired Dany Heatley as a Pro Scout, and Bob Murray has been named a Senior Advisor.

Heatley of course played in the NHL for parts of 13 seasons for the Ottawa Senators, Atlanta Thrashers, San Jose Sharks, Minnesota Wild and Anaheim Ducks, scoring 372 goals and adding 419 assists for a total 792 pound in 869 career games. This seems to be his first job in hockey since his playing career ended and is a big get for the Flyers, Heatley was one of the most prolific scorers of the early to mid 2000's . If he can scout like he played the game, Philadelphia will be sitting on a goldmine of talent before too long.

The Flyers also hired Bob Murray who is best known for his tenure as the general manager Anaheim Ducks, but he most recently worked as a scout for the Calgary Flames.

Interesting choices by Briere no doubt, we'll see if they work out this season.
