Jonathan Huberdeau has been battling injury for the better part of this season. The playmaking winger hasn't been 100% in weeks and it's shown. Huberdeau, self admittedly hasn't been anywhere near as good as he can be and now head coach Darryl Sutter is taking notice.

After trying for weeks to get Huberdeau going, Sutter has finally decided to relegate the forward to the 1st line. After not finding chemistry with either Rasmus Andersson or Nazem Kadri, Huberdeau now finds himself in a checking role with Mikael Backlund and Trevor Lewis.

After making the decision, Sutter offered up this simple but pointed response:

«We've slotted him everywhere else and it hasn't worked. He's a good player. He's got to get going.

It's clear that Sutter is unhappy with the Flames key offseason acquisition and with reports that Huberdeau isn't happy with Sutter, this could be heading for combustion. The Flames are 1-5-2 in their last 8 games so something has to give.
