Despite claiming he had no control information surfaces showing Kyle Dubas caught in a lie
Kyle Dubas's departure from the Toronto Maple Leafs organization was anything but a nice send off. The two sides were at odds, then he used his family as a bargaining chip and the Leafs decided he wasn't worth the money he was asking for and now, the former Leafs general manager has been caught in lie.
Now, the latest report suggests Dubas had a lot more power within the Leafs organization than he has previously let on, making it more and more evident that the organization most definitely did the right thing by letting him walk out the door; take a look.
Dubas was always really good at having the media see him In a light that was favourable, but the more things that come out after his departure, the more you wonder if all of this was just controlled leaks.
Now that he's gone, it appears he had more power than he would have you believe. If his choice was Foligno and not Bennett while others were imploring him to add Bennet, maybe he's not as smart as he would have you believe.
Not only that, but if this is true, he's basically been lying through his the entire time.
