St. Louis and Philadelphia continue to work away at a potential blockbuster trade that would see Kevin Hayes and Travis Sanheim be dealt to the Blues, but what's coming back to the Flyers remains a bit of a mystery at the time of writing this.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, one of the reasons why it's taking a while to get this trade finalized is that Blues defenceman Torey Krug is refusing to waive his no-trade clause to accommodate a move to Philadelphia.

"We will see how this develops throughout the next day or so, but hearing this morning that Torey Krug is leaning towards not waiving his no-trade clause." Friedman said.

Late Saturday night, Flyers reporter Anthony SanFilippo reported that general manager Danny Briere is working to see if he can flip Torey Krug to another team, if the 32-year-old is willing to waive his No-trade clause to come to the Flyers.

Krug, a native of Livonia, Michigan, has four years remaining on his current contract with an average annual value of $6.5 million, but his total salary for the next two seasons is $8.5 million.

It's going to be interesting to see which direction this goes in over the course of Sunday and potentially into Monday. Both sides seem quite keen on getting the deal across the finish line in short order. But, now that Krug is reportedly refusing to go to the Flyers, many wonder if this trade will fall through or if both sides will try and work on a deal without the blueliner involved.
