Dylan Larkin bails on interview after Paul Bissonnette asks him where he's going to play next season
TNT's Paul Bissonnette didn't waste any time asking Dylan Larkin where he will be playing next season during last night's intermission break. Larkin played it cool and side stepped Bissonnette's question. His focus was on the game in front of him which it should be. See the conversation between the two in the following video.
There have been contracts talks between Larkin's agent and the Detroit Red Wings for a long-term extension. Larkin is currently in the last year of a deal that pays him $6.1 million per season. Larkin is arguably the teams most reliable player and he will surely look for a new deal that pays him more money. He's the captain of the team and also the teams number one center. Detroit can not afford to let him slip away.
Larkin has established himself as a very good player for the Red Wings, even when the team has not been very good. Larkin is from Michigan and General Manager Steve Yzerman continues to make improvements to the team. Despite the Red Wings struggles for the last eight seasons or so, you would think that Larkin will sign a long-term deal with Detroit at some point this season.
