If Larkin makes it to July 1st of next summer it'll be the first time in his career he's truly been on the trade market. While rumors circled earlier this summer that a deal could be close, it's appearing that's not the case. Like many free agents there have been thoughts that Larkin won't negotiate in season, making Tuesday the deadline to get a deal done.
As mentioned Larkin's deal does come with a full no trade clause which will allow Larkin to dictate where and if he's traded. Larkin, like every player, wants to play playoff hockey. In his career he's only played 5 playoff games, all which occured during his rookie year.
