Last night in Tampa Bay, Evander Kane suffered one of the scariest injuries for a hockey player. Early in the second period Pat Maroon's skate caught Evander Kane's wrist, slicing it wife open. A pool of blood was immediately evident on the ice as Kane hurried to the bench.
Kane underwent emergency surgery last night to hopefully repair any damage. This morning Kane released a statement sharing that he plans on returning better than ever. Now the Oilers have provided a timeline for his return.
#Oilers forward Evander Kane has been placed on LTIR & is expected to miss 3-4 months. Mattias Janmark & Klim Kostin have been recalled from the @Condors. We wish Evander the best in his recovery process.
It's great to hear that Kane hasn't suffered any permanent damage and it's only a matter of time before he returns to the NHL.
