Former Philadelphia Flyer accused of convincing top prospect to ghost the team
Former Philadelphia Flyers player Kevin Hayes is being accused of playing a role in Cutter Gauthier requesting a trade.
Last night, the Philadelphia Flyers made a big splash by trading their top prospect Cutter Gauthier to the Anaheim Ducks. According to Daniel Briere this decision was after after he had said he would not play for the organization, but did someone help sway Gauthier's perception on the Flyers organization?
According to reports, a former Flyer who Gauthier was close with in his time with the Flyer organization, led to him wanting to request a trade; take a look.
A few months after this interview, of course, Gauthier didn't attend Flyers training camp and general manager Danny Briere had this to say regarding Gauthier declining the invite.
GM Briere at the time: «He was invited, declined to come. We're assuming that's because he has played a lot of hockey with the World Championship. We're not too worried. We'll find out a little bit more. We're trying to figure out why he didn't want to come.»
Now, allegations have come out that point the finger at former Flyer Kevin Hayes; take a look.
If any of this turns out to be true, the Flyers have a real problem on their hands. You cannot have a former player displaying the organization.
