Former top prospect to be placed on waivers at noon tomorrow
Every season ever are a couple of surprise players who ultimately find themselves on the waiver wire. Earlier this week the Ottawa Senators placed former first round pick Lassi Thomson on waivers. Thomson was immediately claimed by the first team in waiver priority, the Anaheim Ducks.
Tonight the Ottawa Senators announced they intend on placing another former first round pick and top prospect, Jacob Bernard-Docker on waivers. JBD will hit the waiver wire tomorrow at noon along with Egor Sokolov.
Following exhibition win tonight, OTT announces some cuts. Most interesting development: Jacob Bernard-Docker and Egor Sokolov on waivers.
Bernard-Docker was selected 28th overall by the Senators in the 2018 NHL Draft. After 3 years at the University of North Dakota, he transitioned to the professional game. Unfortunately he is yet to crack the Senators top six defenseman. The Senators could find themselves in a very difficult spot if they lose another former top prospect on Thursday.
