During Game 4 of the Western Conference final, Gabriel Landeskog landed a hit from behind that may result in a call from the Department of Player Safety.
Halfway through the second period Zack Kassian went towards the boards to retrieve a puck. Landeskog followed and put his arms around Kassian and it looked like he was going to ride him into the boards. Landeskog gave Kassian a little push and it's hard to tell if the two players skates got tangled or exactly what happened. Both players went awkwardly into the boards but Landeskog looked to take the worst of it.
As soon as they make contact with the boards Gabriel Landeskog looks hurt. Zack Kassian looks fine and immediately turns around and gets on top of Landeskog. There was no push with a stick so there is no cross-check like the Evander Kane hit last game but it was still very dangerous. Landeskog was given a two minute penalty for holding on the play. He did not play the remainder of the second period and could be injured.
