Hometown Fans Get a Bit Too Eager to Throw Out their Toys during Teddy Bear Toss

It's that time of the year when you can find annual Teddy Bear Tosses at games throughout hockey leagues in Canada. This one might be a first, though.

During an Ontario Hockey League Game between the Sarnia Sting and Kitchener Rangers, Sting fans were getting itchy arms with the Rangers up 3-0. The toss usually comes with the home team scores its first goal. An error then led to fans beginning the toss prematurely.

After Kitchener's goalie made a fantastic save to keep his shutout going, the goal light came on anyway and fans unleashed a tidal wave of stuffed bears that will go to less fortunate kids during the Holidays.

While things didn't go as planned, it all worked out in the end as Sarnia would end up scoring three goals in the game. The final score was 6-3 Kitchener.
