Ilya Lyubushkin absolutely destroys Edmonton Oilers rookie with a monster hit
The Buffalo Sabres signed Ilya Lyubushkin this summer to add some grit to their backend. Since arriving in Buffalo that's exactly what he's done. During tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers the veteran taught rookie Dylan Holloway a very important lesson.
As Holloway has his head down he tries to receive a bounce pass off the boards. With his head down the entire time he gets absolutely leveled by Lyubushkin.
Warren Foegele immediately comes to his teammates defense but nothing comes of it. Foegele received 4 minutes for roughing while Lyubushkin received 2 minutes for roughing. Holloway left the game and has not returned.
