Calgary Flames high-scoring winger Matthew Tkachuk reportedly will be on the move in the next two weeks. The Athletic reported Wednesday that Tkachuk will not sign a long-term deal with Calgary and has supplied the Flames with a list of teams he would sign a long-term deal with if they decide to trade him.
That list includes the Nashville Predators along with the St. Louis Blues, Vegas Golden Knights, Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars.
Tkachuk, 24, is a restricted free agent this year and is one year away from being eligible for unrestricted free agency.
Eric Francis came out today stating that the alleged trade list for Tkachuk circulating that includes St. Louis, Vegas, Florida, Nashville and Dallas is not accurate.
The St. Louis Blues are considered to be the favorites currently. Tkachuk has ties to the city with his father Keith playing for the Blues organization from 2000-2007. The Flames have already turned down a rumored package of Jordan Kyrou, Torey Krug, and a First-round pick.
