Legendary soccer goalie shows up at an NHL practice
The Chicago Blackhawks have been struggling to find an identity this season, despite their win against the Calgary Flames this past weekend. Luke Richardson is working with the hand dealt to him.
Who would've thought that goalie Petr Mrazek would be the one to contribute to a team-building scenario?
Former Chelsea goalie and friend of Petr Mrazek, Petr Cech showed up to the Blackhawks practice to give tips to Max Domi and Seth Jones on the strategy of the PK and shootout, in a strange turn of events.
Mrazek's and Cech's friendship was built over respect for each other's sport with the goalies meeting while Mrazek played in Detroit. Since then Cech and Mrazek have been helping each other sharpen their goaltending skills in their respective sport, and while it is a bit odd for a soccer player and hockey goaltender to share best tips and practices, if Mrazek stays steady and healthy I'm sure the oddity of it all will pay off for that #1 job.
