It was a very difficult year for Montreal Canadiens' prospect Logan Mailloux. After making a terrible mistake Mailloux during his time in Sweden much of the hockey world has blackballed the young prospect.

However, not only did the Hunter family and the London Knights Organization support Logan, the Montreal Canadiens chose to draft him last year with their first round pick. The Habs made the pick even after Logan tried to pull himself out of the NHL draft.

Mailloux has since tried his best to improve not just on the ice but off it as well. Mailloux is currently apart of the Montreal Canadiens' development camp in Brossard, Quebec. He is looking to make the best of his second chance and show the Canadiens they made the right decision drafting him.

It's tough every day, I think about it every day. It's something that I'm going to think about every day. I carry it with me and I know the victim carries it with her as well.

I would have changed everything that I've done, 100 per cent, I've definitely changed a lot as a person and as a human the past two years. I wasn't educated back then, I feel like I am now.

Respect, consent, the whole program they have going on here is unbelievable. I think every NHL team should have to do it, every junior team should have to do it, I think it should start in minor hockey as well. I think it's something that definitely needs to be done more often.

Mailloux was suspended indefinitely from the Ontario Hockey League last season until the London Knights Owners Dale and Mark Hunter filed an appeal on Mailloux's behalf. Mailloux was then re-instated by the League in January 2022.

Unfortunately for Logan after putting up 9 points in his first 12 games but would fall awkwardly in a fight with Windsor Spitfires, Pasquale Zito having season ending surgery. Mailloux is still recovering and did drills alone with a member of the Canadiens' training staff Monday, but won't take part in any of the full on-ice sessions at the camp.
