Montreal Canadiens enforcer breaks the code in fight against Avalanche and concussion prone player
Last night's game between the Montreal Canadiens and Colorado Avalanche quickly became a rout, ending by the score of 8-4. Despite being a rebuilding team, the Canadiens weren't happy going down like that on home ice, and as is customary, fights began breaking out.
In the 3rd period of an 8-4 game, Habs forward Michael Pezzetta broke hockey's code by grabbing and fighting what looked to be a completely unwilling Bowen Bryam.
Pezzetta is known to be a goon for the rebuilding Habs, while Bryam is a developing star returning from multiple concussions suffered over the last 12 months. The weight class mismatch, the lop sided fighting experience, and the chasm in class of players makes this a brutal fight, and it's a brutal look on Michael Pezzetta.
Bryam essentially turtles to protect himself while Pezzetta tosses the gloves and hits him with some left hand jabs and a few hard right hooks. Thankfully, Bryam wasn't hurt on the play.
