Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander has been dealing with some injuries this season, and against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, the team got bad news.
Ever since William Nylander's return from injury, the Maple Leafs have gotten solid production from the forward, who had five points in his first two games back.
He has 46 points in 36 games so far this season. He even scored a goal against the Las Vegas Golden Knights tonight, as the Leafs look to defeat Mitch Marner.
Unfortunately, when Nylander scored, he tweaked something during the celebration, and now, his status for the rest of the team's road trip is in jeopardy.

As you can see in the gif below, the forward falls over a bit and was very obviously in some discomfort, which is the last thing you want to see if you are a Maple Leafs fan.
Nylander actually had to leave the game because of this, and the fans were holding their breath as the team came back for the second period.
Bad news followed for the Leafs, as the team announced on social media that Nylander would not be able to return to the game.
This is a situation we will be following, as head coach Craig Berube will likely provide some sort of update soon after the conclusion of the game.
Meanwhile, at the time of writing this, the Maple Leafs are defeating the Las Vegas Golden Knights by a score of 4-2 at the second intermission.
If the Leafs can pull out this win, they can get a leg up in the playoff hunt, while also rubbing it in the face of Marner, who already has some production tonight.
Needless to say, the upcoming third period is going to be fascinating, and the fans will certainly be paying close attention.
