Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson is currently having a big season, although he had to miss the team's last game with an injury to his foot.
Nick Robertson is one of the most interesting forwards on the Toronto Maple Leafs, especially when you consider everything he went through last season to get to where he is now.
Overall, the forward is having a breakout season, and there is no denying that he has found his way into Craig Berube's good graces after a rough start.
With 22 points so far this season, Robertson is looking to earn himself another contract that would keep the forward in Toronto for the long haul.
Unfortunately, Robertson missed Tuesday night's game against the Utah Mammoth after blocking a shot with his foot against the Colorado Avalanche.
Nick Robertson could be back for the Toronto Maple Leafs
The Leafs lost 6-1 against the Mammoth, and while it wasn't all because of the forward's absence, you could make an argument that it certainly contributed.
Tonight, the Leafs are playing against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, and there is no denying that there is a whole lot riding on this matchup.
Just moments ago, it was reported that Robertson was on the ice for morning skate and appears to be on track to get himself back into the lineup.
If you are a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, getting Robertson back is a huge deal. Even if he plays on the third line, he still contributes a whole lot.
Going into tonight's game, there are going to be a lot of eyeballs, especially considering the Mitch Marner angle. With that in mind, the Leafs will want everyone to be healthy.
Only time will tell whether or not the Maple Leafs will be able to rise to the occasion, and defeat a team that is hungry as ever to conquer them.
