During last night's game between the Minnesota Wild and San Jose Sharks, Wild forward Mason Shaw was ejected for kneeing. The knee occured during the second period and saw Shaw receive a 5 minute major and game misconduct.
Earlier this afternoon George Parros and the NHL Department of Player Safety announced Shaw would face a hearing for the play. This wasn't Shaw's first infraction as he'd committed a similar act previously..
Parros and the Department of Player Safety wasted no time and opted to issue Shaw a 2 game suspension.
Minnesota's Mason Shaw has been suspended for two games for Kneeing San Jose's Evgeny Svechnikov.
