NHL goalie spotted training in the KHL
Carolina Hurricanes rookie goalie, Pyotr Kotchetkov made a rumbling in the series against the Boston Bruins last season.
Kotchetkov started in 3 games in the NHL regular season, 4 in the NHL post-season, and a total of 15 games in the AHL.
His SV% was a result of small sampling size, but still respectable for a rookie on a 2-year contract signed, with an AAV of $925K.

In order to stay in condition for next season, the rookie shacked up in Kunlun Red Star territory, working with Coach Vladimir Kulikov at the additional goalie practices.
After coming to the NHL when his KHL team Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod was eliminated from the KHL regular season, he played with the Chicago Wolves and seized the opportunity available.
«He's a very confident guy,» said Andrei Svechnikov. «Awesome guy and so funny. When he gets the opportunity, he's always ready for that. He knows that if something were to happen he'd go into the net and he's going to show off his best game.»
As a result of free agency, Kotchetkov has become the Hurricanes' #3 goalie in the rotation. And has shown he can slot in behind Raanta or Anderson, should the need be.
He wouldn't shy away from Brad Marchand, and I doubt he will shy away from taking a 1B spot here in the future.
