Nazem Kadri finally finding his edge with a dirty hit against the Winnipeg Jets
Since joining the Calgary Flames, Nazem Kadri has faced some criticism for losing his edge. In 38 games Kadri has only accumulated 16 penalty minutes. While a coach doesn't necessarily want one of their best players taking penalties, but having an edge is what makes Kadri so effective.
Tonight against the Winnipeg Jets a bit of that edge seemed to resurface. During the 1st period of the game, Kadri delivered a questionable hit to the back of Erik Gustafsson.
The hit drew a crowd, but only Kadri received a penalty. Kadri received a minor for boarding, but this could mark the return of Kadri's edge. Something the Calgary Flames are desperately in need of.
