Nazem Kadri fired back at Jon Cooper after Cooper calling out his goal
Jon Cooper was heartbroken for his team after their overtime loss. Cooper refused to provide additional details during his post game press conference, instead saying he'd address it "tomorrow". That didn't stop reporters from taking Cooper's comments and asking Nazem Kadri about what Cooper had said.
Kadri scored the game winning goal 13 minutes into overtime. After the game during his media availability Kadri shared the following sentiment on Cooper's comments.
Yeah, I'm not quite sure. You know, what he was, really, what he's thinking, why it shouldn't count? I mean that that kind of confuses me a little bit. Um, Now the puck hit the back of the net end of story. So, not sure why he'd say that.
With Cooper scheduled to speak today it will be interesting to see what he says because clearly Kadri didn't feel the Avalanche did anything wrong on the play.
