The New York Rangers didn't escape Thursday night's game without losses of their own. Yesterday the Rangers announced that forward Tyler Motte will miss some time with a significant injury.
The injury occured when Tyler Motte collided with Anthony Angello. On the play Angello was awarded a 2-minute penalty for interference.
One positive sign is that it has been released that Motte did not suffer a head injury, but rather just an upper-body injury.
Motte has 15 points (7 goals, 8 assists) in games this season in a bottom 6 role with the Canucks and Rangers. The Rangers acquired Motte at the trade deadline to help their bottom 6 forwards.
